Pieter Wispelwey asked me to do the design for his duo series of the Brahms duo series. According to him it was his journey with pianist Paolo Giacometti that made these recordings special. The symbiose of the duo, being immersed into the compositions of Brahms, finding new details, coloring the music to new sounds for these old compositions. Sounded like being on a journey discovering new territories with your best friend. This is why I sketched 2 imaginaire figures into the a beautiful landscape, with vibrant colors. They are enjoying the scenery and for a moment in time... For a moment it feels like they belong there. In real live they are just passengers playing the music enjoying the scenery.
